The Letter H
Practice the letter H sound using honey. Your preschooler will explore what will happen when water, oil, and honey are put into the same cup. Be sure to download the free Three-layer test worksheet before you start.
Materials
- Glass Cup
- Water
- Honey
- Oil
- Quarter
- Grape
- Cork
Procedure
First get your free download!
Fill the bottom 1/3 layer of the glass with honey. Fill the next 1/3 layer of the glass with water (you can color your water with food coloring but mix it before you pour on top of the honey layer). Add the oil as your last 1/3 layer. Let all three substances settle. Next, drop in a quarter, then a grape, and then a cork into the glass. Wait to see what layer each item falls into.
