Letter L Activity

 

Make letter L fun with lemons! Discover what will happen when you add baking soda and soap to a lemon. In this activity, your preschooler will practice the letter L sound. Be sure to get your free download of Letter L Activity to make predictions before you start!

Materials

  1. Lemon
  2. Baking soda
  3. Liquid food coloring
  4. Dish soap (Dawn works best)
  5. Popsicle stick
  6. Bowl/plate

Procedure  

First, make a prediction using the free download of Letter L Activity worksheet.

Cut your lemon in half.

Use your popsicle stick to poke holes in the lemon.

Place your lemon in a bowl or on a plate. Then add drops of food coloring in the lemon.

 

Next, pour dish soap all over the top of the lemon.

Then add baking soda.

Use your popsicle stick to push the baking soda further down into the lemon and watch what happens!

Make sure your preschooler practices letter L sounds when experimenting with the lemon.
