Letter A Activity
What will make your apple erupt? In this activity, your preschooler will turn an apple into a volcano to practice letter A sounds. Be sure to get your free download of the Letter A Activity worksheet to make predictions before you start!
Materials
- Apple
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Eye dropper/spoon
- Liquid food coloring (optional)
Procedure
Before you start, download your free worksheet Apple Volcano and make a prediction.
First, cut the stem out of the top and make a deep hole in the center of the apple.
Fill the hole with baking soda. Then, mix the vinegar with food coloring to make the "lava" (food coloring is optional).
Using an eye drop or spoon, pick up the vinegar and drop a small amount into the top of the apple. The vinegar should mix with the baking soda immediately to create an "apple volcano!"
Using your free download, draw what happened to the apple!
